A Steep Climb into History

In the clear, bright morning of May 16, 2004 Nawang Sherpa stepped boldly into history as the only trans-tibial amputee who has conquered the summit of Mount Everest. He succeeded on his first attempt. Since that day, Nawang has used his remarkable high-altitude mountaineering success to inspire amputees and all people around the world.
